Position Title: Secondary Art Teacher

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Secondary Art Teacher to join our team in Melbourne, Australia. This is a full-time position with an immediate start date.

As a Secondary Art Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment for students in grades 7-12. You will be teaching a variety of art subjects, including but not limited to drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver creative and engaging art lessons that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of diverse learners
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and resources to effectively teach art concepts and techniques
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement cross-curricular projects and activities
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching practices and stay current with developments in the field of art education
- Maintain accurate and organized records of student grades, attendance, and other important information
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns that may arise
- Participate in school events and extracurricular activities as required

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Art Education or related field
- Teaching certification or license in Art Education
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching art at the secondary level
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in art education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Passion for art and a commitment to inspiring students to explore and develop their artistic talents
